My Story
Dr. Michael Alosilla, MD is a fellowship-trained neurologist with subspecialized expertise in Movement Disorders. Dr. Alosilla earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. He completed his fellowship at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., where he received advanced training in the diagnosis and management of Parkinson's Disease, atypical Parkinsonian syndromes, Dystonia, Tremors, Ataxia, and related conditions.
His clinical interests include a full spectrum of movement disorders and neurodegenerative conditions, including various forms of Dementia such as Lewy body dementia, Parkinson's disease, and Frontotemporal Dementia.
He is skilled in advanced treatment modalities, including Botulinum toxin injections, deep brain stimulation (DBS) programming, skin biopsies for alpha-synuclein detection, and emerging infusion therapies such as subcutaneous Levodopa pumps for advanced Parkinson's disease.
Dr. Alosilla has presented his research at National and International meetings and remains active in continuing medical education and community outreach, particularly among Spanish-speaking populations. He is fluent in English and Spanish. Dr. Alosilla is committed to making neurological care accessible, compassionate, and personalized for each patient and their family.
